What is the best way of attaining expertise? To not think that one
has become an expert and continuing to grasp more knowledge. Satyanarayana has followed a similar belief
while becoming proficient in automation. Here is a glimpse of his journey!
Satyanarayana Tota stepped into his profession after earning his Masters from the
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He started working as a Design
Engineer at Jain Irrigation Systems in Maharashtra. In this company, he took
the responsibility of designing and executing sprinkler irrigation systems for
several recognized gold courses of Pune, Maharashtra.
Satyanarayana has also worked as SQA Consultant in Auckland, New
Zealand. He then moved to the United States of America and gave his career a
new start with Siebel Systems. While serving this company as the senior
software engineer, he oversaw Siebel Automation Framework.
In the year 2006, he joined Genentech and began handling the
global test automation team. Being the automation lead, he handled and executed
test automation for more than a hundred projects. He carried out automation
frameworks, guidelines for validation, as well as the finest practices for
automation.
There is no denying the fact that hard work and dedication create
a way for everyone. For Satyanarayana Tota, his diligence paved his way for the
position of ServiceNow Integration Architect.
Becoming the automation expert in the domain of information
technology was a journey filled with two decades of continuous efforts. In the
process of building his extensive experience in process automation technologies
and Test Automation, he took the responsibility of different projects from medium
to large size with management and leadership skills.
Outside his professional interests, he is also fond of teaching
science to students from elementary and middle school. He offers his guidance
to bowl teams from middle school for science competitions.
In the year 2015, he organized science lessons at Booker T
Washington Community Service Center in collaboration with a UCSF mentor. He
also teaches science to students in the North South Foundation. Tota also takes out time to volunteer his
services at the local Milpitas Sai Temple each month.
Change is unavoidable, but only a person can choose the direction
he wants to go to. Satyanarayana
Tota has
always chosen to thrive by continuously learning and applying extra efforts.
Adding to it, his leadership qualities and management skills have laid the
foundation for reaching the heights of success.
